Car Plunges Into Barnegat Bay Killing 2

Seaside Park police say two people are dead after their car plunged into Barnegat Bay early this morning.
Authorities say they received 9-1-1 calls reporting what sounded like an explosion, and found a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am sinking in 8 feet of water. Divers pulled 41 year-old Sharon Stankard of Manchester and 47 year-old Ralph Wetmore Jr. of Toms River from the water.
They were pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
