Nor'Easter Sweeps Away Tons Of Sand

The weekend nor'easter swept away 75-truck loads of sand used to protect Long Beach Township homes.

The Public Works Department fortified the bases of homes in the North Beach section last week and by Sunday it was gone. The strong winds and waves also reportedly left a considerable amont of debris in its wake.

The Township continues to wait for more than 200 residents to sign beach easements for the federal beach-replenishment project.
