Contest Encourages Kids To Recycle

To encourage increased recycling in children, Ocean County introduces the school recycling grant program.

Freeholder Director Jim Lacey says it offers grants of up $5000 to help with recycling efforts. Lacey says all schools in the county public and private will receive an application outlining the program.

Successful applicants will be required to provide the county with an annual report on recycling for three years following the award of the grant.
