Protesting Obama Health Care In Toms River

A large group of activists and local residents protest outside the Ocean County office of 3rd district Congressman John Adler. Their goal? To press him to vote against President Barack Obama's health care bill. (CONTINUES BELOW PHOTO)

Close to 75 people turned out for the Thursday event and everyone had their own reasons for attending. Some say the plan will ruin the country's economy, cause more problems for other sectors and give the government even more control of our daily lives and activities.
According to Adler's staff, he was in Washington, D.C. at the time of the protest and has not decided whether he'll back Obama's plan or not. Originally, he had turned down a previous version but at this point, Adler has not indicated what he will do.
Protestors will be attending an event at the Ocean County Library on Saturday morning where Congressman Adler will be in attendence.
