Big Plans For Brick With No Property Tax Increase

Brick officials plan to develop Trader's Cove, upgrade parks & facilities, launch paving projects and purchase public works as well as safety equipment all without raising property taxes.

That's the objective of the township's 2010 capital budget recently introduced to the Township Council. Mayor Steve Acropolis says they're hoping to bond for $16.6million.

Acropolis says this is an ideal time to launch infrastructure improvement projects because the sour economy has driven contractor costs down.
