Governor Christie Isn't Enjoying His Bare-Bones Budget Work (AUDIO, VIDEO)
|
With only about a week to go before he gives his budget address - and spells out how he intends to close an 11-point-2 billion dollar budget shortfall - Governor Christie says he's not happy about what's happening in the Garden State - but it's his job to fix a very difficult problem.
During Millennium Radio's Ask the Governor program last night, Christie said "this has been at least 12 years - if not longer - of incredible mismanagement and irresponsibility by the people who were in charge of government - in both parties...and all those chickens are now coming home to roost."
He also said "I'm angry - I'm angry at the irresponsibility of the people - many of whom I voted for - who just ran this state into the ground...let there be no doubt about it, we are going to fix it - it's going to be painful, and difficult and ugly, but we are going to make sure that it's fair, and that there's shared sacrifice."
Christie added "I don't expect anybody to like it, but I do think New Jerseyans are ready for it, I think they're ready to hear the truth...believe me, that's what the people are going to get."
